Why am I seeing a “Risky app detected” screen in the GX Bank App?

To protect your account, the GXBank app checks your device security whenever you open the app, return to the app, or perform certain security actions. If we detect a side-loaded app (an app installed outside the official app store) with accessibility access, app access may be blocked temporarily.

Your device may have an app that can read screen content and perform taps automatically, which can be abused for scams or unauthorized actions.

Why does GXBank restrict access?

Some side-loaded apps with Accessibility permissions can:

  • read sensitive information on screen,
  • automate taps or actions without your intent,
  • be used by scammers for remote-control fraud.

The restriction helps protect your GX Account and money. Accessibility services are legitimate device features, but untrusted apps with accessibility permission may use them to access or control a device.

What should I do?

  1. Disconnect any active remote-support, remote-control, screen-sharing or device-mirroring session.
  2. Close the remote access application completely.
  3. Turn off its accessibility or device-control permission if it is not required.
  4. Uninstall the application if you do not recognise or trust it.
  5. Restart your device.
  6. Open the GX Bank app again.

The exact settings and menu names may differ depending on your device model and operating system.

If you have resolved all issues and are still unable to access the app, please contact us.
