What is DarkSword?

'DarkSword' is a new hidden attack that is quietly hitting millions of iPhones with old iPhone software (iOS 18.4 to 18.7). Your iPhone can get infected just by visiting a bad website even without clicking or downloading anything.

Why does this matter, and is my money safe?

Your money with GXBank is safe and secure. But an iPhone infected by 'DarkSword' lets hackers secretly look at your iPhone's screen and steal your personal sensitive information. This puts all your logins and personal details at risk, including those for other apps (e.g., ewallets, cryptowallets & banks accounts).

I updated my GXBank app already. Am I safe?

Not quite! DarkSword compromises the iPhone's operating system, not the GXBank app. Updating your iOS is the only way to protect your financial and mobile banking apps from this exploit.

How do I know if I am at risk? And what can I do?

If your iPhone is running iOS 18.4 through 18.7, you are at risk! To be safe, check & update your iOS version by going to Settings > General > Software Update > Install iOS 26, 18.7.7 or later.

If you cannot update immediately, it is good to enable “Emergency Security Lock Down” temporarily until you can do a full update.
Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Lockdown Mode > Turn On Lockdown Mode
