Under what circumstances that funds in my account will be on hold?

The following are examples where your funds will be on hold / earmarked:

1. A pre-authorisation amount of RM 200 or such other amount determined by the petrol station is charged for petrol purchases made at the self-service pump at petrol stations.
2. Hotels charging a pre-authorisation amount upon check-in depending on how long is your stay at the hotel.
3. Parking terminals charging a pre-authorisation amount upon entering a parking space.

As a rule of thumb, the holding /earmarking of funds in your GX Account linked to the GX Card occurs when you are pending completion of a transaction where the actual transaction amount cannot be determined at the point of purchase initiation.
